Artscape has transformed the historic Wychwood TTC streetcar repair barns located in Toronto’s St. Clair and Christie neighbourhood into the Artscape Wychwood Barns – a 60,000 sq. ft. multifaceted community centre where arts and culture, environmental leadership, heritage preservation, urban agriculture and affordable housing are brought together to foster a strong sense of community. The Artscape Wychwood Barns is surrounded by a new 127,000 sq. ft. City park. Construction began in March 2007 and was completed in October 2008, with the Official Public Opening taking place on November 20, 2008.

Return to 1930s elegance and charm at The Carlu. Formerly the seventh floor of Eaton's College Park, this multi-functional venue hosts cultural and social functions, meetings, conferences, trade shows and fashion shows. The current restoration by Toronto's ERA Architects was a two year project. It's one of the finest surviving examples of the Art Moderne style in the world, and a testament to the historical and architectural grandeur that is a part of Toronto's heritage.

The Institute without Boundaries at George Brown College School of Design is a centre of research and learning focused on design innovation and inter-professional collaboration. The Institute comprises of a post-graduate program that teaches design collaboration to professionals from diverse backgrounds; a research division, which conducts applied research on global issues; and a think tank, which offers design consultation to clients. Their inaugural project, Massive Change, explored and sparked a discourse on the future of global design. Their second project, World House, confronts the evolution of shelter for coming generations incorporating principles of sustainabillity, accessibility, technological responsiveness and ecological balance.
